Forget the Plant

So, it’s been awhile. 7 months tomorrow to be exact. Keeping up with a blog is hard…

Jay told me a long time ago that before we got pregnant I had to keep a plant alive. Then we would graduate to a dog. Then a human being. We planted a lot of flowers last spring (see proof here) but, needless to say, they have all died. I blame the horribly cold Austin winters. Jay blames me. I plan to start over this spring, but, in the meantime, Jay has broken his own rule and we got COOPER!

Personally, I don’t think a plant should ever have been a part of the initial equation. Dogs tell you when they are hungry (like a baby), sleep when they are tired (like a baby) and are really good at reminding you that they are there (like a baby). Plants don’t do these things.

And would you look at this face…it’s freakin’ adorable (like a baby). Plants aren’t near as cute.

I think I’ve made my point.
